Anyway to get like cruise ships and stuff like that for free???

Nope. Unless you own the 06 add on pack in which case you can get a free upgrade to convert it to 08 spec. Otherwise it's wait for the announcement that the 08 add on pack is available.

does the 06 addon pack work with 08? And when you download it do the ships automatically get put in your game or do you have to go through a ton of steps to get them in there?

No it doesn't. Like I said in the post- you need to then upgrade (free) to 08 specification. Or wait until the 08 version comes out.

It's pretty simple to install, certainly not rocket science.

In fairness, this is a pretty big forum to look through.

Now that he knows where to look, maybe he will keep himself updated in the future by looking in the right place.
