I thought there was only one Titanic. I see I was wrong.

how did this happen

how did this happen
Well, what happens is: When a ship loses its bouyancy- that is it takes on water, the sea gets tired and can not hold it up, so it lets go... then the ship falls all the way down to the bottom, where it sleeps on the seabed for around 100 years, before disintergrating.
:D

that i knew. i kind of meant how did both go down like the largest ship of 1912? also how did the first one stand straight up?
-
I suppose it depends on A) the original weight distribution of the ship and B) Where it was taking in water.
If the bow is holed, then that is where the water will be- so its heaviest and then it will sink first, and it will accelerate at an exponential rate until it is vertical.
It is not a unique occurance!

Come on, Stu,
Don’t fill the lad’s head with a lot of rubbish about a “tired seaâ€. :)
Ships are pulled beneath the waves by Mother Carey and Davy Jones. Mother Carey likes to grab ‘em by the bow, Davy by the stern. Sometimes they both grab the ship and she just settles.

I've heard that story too. I don't believe it at all and I think it is just an excuse for the people who want to deny the existence of the aliens of the bermuda square.

That’s triangle, Stu.
You have it confused with Piccadilly Square. :)
Marty

Nah, that's Piccadilly CIRCUS, honest it is!! ;D

Look at the map yourself. It is a THREE SIDED SQUARE.
On the subject of Bermuda- did you realise that the Marmiteans come from the 3 sided bermuda square? Disguised as small jars of delicious foodstuff- intent on taking over the world. AND DJM!
Stu

AND DJM!
They better keep their distance from me, I have a gun ya know :P :D
-
Beware! Do not feed the Marmites

slightly on topic (i do apoligise! ;D ) but the picture of the first ship is the tanker Prestige, which sank off the Porteguese and Spanish coast. Not sure on the second ship though!

Were they carrying a cargo of Marmite at the time? :D
-
Yer the Prestige was carring Marmite, thats why the Spanish Govt refused shelter to the vessel.....
-
Afraid that if the Spanish found a decent food then they would abandon Paella.

Been there. Not one elephant or tiger in sight. Clowns, maybe.
And yes, I do know where to find the Elephant (& Castle). :)

What I can’t understand, is why we have not had any official word from VSTEP on Marmite.
My many emails to Pjotr demanding to know when we will have Marmite in Ship Simulator have had no response.
From the sheer number of posts on that topic, it is obvious that Marmite is the single most important feature to the user. I find it difficult to understand why the developers are dragging their feet on this issue.
Trainz has had Marmite from the beginning, as has MSFS, so there is absolutely no reason why it can’t be easily incorporated into Ship Simulator. I know this.
I want Marmite now. If I don’t get it, I shall hold my breath until I turn blue. Then you will be very sorry!

Actually it is a purple trapezoid, with bumps on it.

Piccadilly Circus? This topic is getting confusing!
