When piloting the titanic, the RPM is 5000 (or 500?) well, the top speed was 24 Knots at 75 RPM. All the statistics are here:

Hello pmillett22,
Indeed, you are right about these inaccuracies, and it has already been discussed elsewhere, together with other ones. But with regard to accuracy, a discussion of speed and RPM can also be found in closer details and probably more accurately in the Encyclopedia Titanica (http://www.encyclopedia-titanica.org/item/5661/), in a very interesting paper by Samuel Halpern

Pmillett22,
In SS08 v1.1, only the two reciprocating engines are active, and the maximum RPM is 75.
(Any higher RPM you may see quoted is for the Parsons turbine.)
In missions, the maximum speed is greatly influenced by the sea. In a typical North Atlantic sea, the maximum speed will seldom exceed 18 knots, and may be less depending on the wind force and direction. Although in the present version the wind does not directly act on the ship, it does affect the sea state.
