I've started this as a new topic, as it applies to so many others, that I can't go adding links to them all.
This might prove interesting for some people... gets a little bit of a look at the wet side of the hull.
Ignore the commentary for its accuracy. And yes, that is an engineer drinking lager on duty I think...

Cheers, Stu!
Nice video. Such ships are frequent guests in Hamburg too, visiting the large dry dock vis a vis the harbours center. The developers have done me the favour to implement that dock into the simulator, but of course without any function until now. But you may navigate the OCEAN STAR into it, what is pretty funny!

Thanks Stu,
enjoyed that! Wasnt worried about the enginneers and beer, more concerned about the cigars! Thats got to be a health and safety issue! Esp with all that fresh paint around!
Done several drydocks on tankers, but intresting to see all the probs assosciated with a passenger ship!!!!

I've seen a ferry going into a dock in Bremerhaven. That was fun to watch... Parked it better than most people park their car in a supermarket.
I might be wrong, but it looked like it was being winched in rather than under power.
Dharl: Here in Britain you will be arrested for smoking, regardless of fresh paint or danger. (Unless it contains marajuana, in which case you're probably ok- no I joke not).
