Post by: MokMok on November 25, 2016, 13:00:10
When I want to to download additional missions, I get an error message. see attachment. Can this error be fixed?

The website www.shipsim.com itself also has big troubles:

We are also unable to run our own MP servers now, the servers list is empty. I hope that the moderators here will notice these problems and will report them to Vstep.

Hi,
I have sent a PM to Mark regarding this problem. As it is Friday I do not hold out any hopes of action before Monday(if then). In the meantime if any players want to have a particular mission, I do have just about all of them that are available on my computer and could zip a mission and post it here if required. Not a very satisfactory solution but possibly better than nothing at all. ::)

Regards,
Angus.

A ZIP file with all the missions of SSE2010 can be sent via www.wetransfer.com (http://www.wetransfer.com).

Multiplayer on private servers, bypassing Vstep:

We as being players can run a private MP server using the manual connect feature and invite others players to join. Invitations should be posted at the Billboard at http://forum.shipsim.com/index.php/topic,19854.75.html (http://forum.shipsim.com/index.php/topic,19854.75.html). In this case Vstep is completely bypassed.

See the instructions at http://www.mediafire.com/download/s86d5ahjh3r94er/Private_server_or_Manual_connection.pdf (http://www.mediafire.com/download/s86d5ahjh3r94er/Private_server_or_Manual_connection.pdf) about how to setup a private MP server which bypasses Vstep and how other players can join a private server by entering the real external IP address and the port number which is given in an invitation on the Billboard. See http://www.mediafire.com/download/2r6a4fzces82xj6/Sky-SSE.pdf (http://www.mediafire.com/download/2r6a4fzces82xj6/Sky-SSE.pdf) about port forwarding and firewall rules in your router when you want to run your MP server.

If any players would like this I would be happy to do this for them. All I need is their Email address.
