Title: Steam vs Boxed???
Post by: Bentracin on December 08, 2014, 05:07:57
Bought a boxed version on preorder, go to install. steam asks for product key, whang it in, says successful  then starts to install but says failed and try again. Try again, pop code in but says already activated, so go into steam launch game but it downloads it instead of using my disc??? now i cant play cos steam are yet to release the patch.

Why cant i install the disc version? Why does steam takeover n download a digi version?

The license key you've entered on Steam (The XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX format key) is only a product registration key. The game's own activation keys can be found by right mouse clicking on the game inside your Steam library and choosing "View CD keys".

Is the installation file on the DVD a non-Steam version? If so please let me know.
