Title: Throttle Cut Off
Post by: JTrane on December 01, 2014, 22:11:47
How come when I leave the cabin of the ships, like walk out of the cabin area, the throttle cuts off to 0 and the boat stops....How do you keep the throttle up and keep going???

Hi JTrane, the default key to toggle Precision Steering on/off is F12 .. ;)

No I know that.....But I mean when the throttle is wide open, and then when walks outside, for some reason the throttle keeps cutting back to idle...IS there a way to keep it from going back to idle???

Hi, do you have the latest updates installed? I believe one of the patches fixed it. Update 1.5.7 is not required.

Sadly, this problem has not been fixed. But As Salty says it can be "got round" by using the F12 key. First go into "Walkthrough" mode and set the throttles to the position you want them, then click on F12 and roam around the ship as you wish. You will find that the throttles stay in the position you put them at. This is something that Salty has taught me today, I didn't know this could be done. I will attach a picture to prove the point. It is a view over the stern of "Sherpa" under full power. I would point out that I walked from the wheelhouse to the stern in order to take the picture. Normally by the time I had arrived at the stern, the ship would have come to a stop, or nearly so.

Hi salty,
I have now!!!!!! Having done that, I do not need to go through the process I mentioned above. You will have to forgive me, I'm getting too old. :'(
