Hi johan2000,
When your profile appears double click on it and the game will go back to the start menu. !:)

Hi johan, the game 'freezes' because questviewer needs extra time to load the profile program.
I used to experiment with several profiles because I wanted to use different controllers without having to plug/unplug them and change my settings. So I had a Profile1 'speed' in which I used a steering wheel and keyboard for fast boats, and I had a Profile2 'normal' for regular use with a joystick and keyboard for large ships and such. Unless you want to use this feature there is really no need to click on Profile (I don't)   :)

Yes, I know. With my system it takes 14 minutes to load Extremes, and then another 13 to load Profile..

Hi johan2000 & saltydog,
This is how to speed up opening time for the game.

http://forum.shipsim.com/index.php/topic,26784.msg357809.html#msg357809

My settings file is only 1.79KB in size.

Having done this, and to prevent the opening times getting slower again. follow my picture below. Go to ShipSimExtremes userdata/profiles/your user name, again. Then right click on "settings" and select "properties." Then tick "read only" at the bottom.

Loading time is now reduced from 14 minutes to 30 seconds.. :)

It's a pleasure to be of help. I'm glad you both have solved your problem, once the process is carried out you should not have the problem again.
Now you can enjoy the game without the frustration of waiting for it to start. :2thumbs:

Regards,
Angus
