Title: WILL sse work on my computer
Post by: JOHN LYLE on March 13, 2014, 18:25:28
For years I have put off buying SSE. One reason was that my computer was too slow, 1 second real time equaled 4 seconds SSE time. I ran the demo on my laptop, with windows 7 and it ran slow'
I recently bought a new desktop computer with Windows 7. I tried the SSE demo but it would not load, it told me that a lot of DLL files were missing. What is going on here? the demo works on a slower computer running Windows 7 but will not load on a faster computer using the same operating system. If the demo doesn't work does that mean that the full version will not work?

The other two reasons I didn't want to buy SSE was STEAM, I have found out that Steam is not required, and the fact that SSE gives a portion of the profits to Greenpeace, which I do not support for certain reasons and have no wish to get into a discussion about again on here.
Does SSE still support Greenpeace with donations?

Hello John,

Can you show us your system's specifications? This can be done by sending us a DxDiag.
This post explains how to create one:
It is common for Moderators to ask members to post their Dxdiag to enable them to ascertain whether the computer is suitable to run SSE. I am aware that this instruction is posted patiently numerous times by the Moderators by the way of text. This post is in no way to offend any Moderator  or "dwarf" their efforts. I have chosen to explain this by the way of screenshots for Windows 7

Where to type the word Dxdiag
