Title: Is STEAM required?
Post by: JOHN LYLE on March 12, 2014, 15:29:50
Hi
Is Steam required to play SSE?. I am reluctant to use any game that has a Steam licence because it has in the past cause trouble with my computer (cost me $120 cdn to get a tech to clean out the problems Steam caused, same happened to my brothers computer...never got help from Steam...that was years ago). The rise in the use of Steam has just about stopped me from buying PC games. In fact I can't remember the last computer game I bought. If I can use SSE without Steam then I may buy it. Otherwise I will stick with SS2008.

Hi John,
You do NOT have to get involved with STEAM. If you purchase the download version from the Ship Simulator web site it has no connection with STEAM. Your Canadian Dollars will be converted to Euros and you will be charged at the current rate.
