Title: Pride of Calais Scrapping (Ostend Spirit).

Good afternoon all,

I hope you're all having a good Christmas.

I thought this might be of interest to some people; the beaching of the "Pride of Calais", scrapped as the "Ostend Spirit" as seen from the bridge.

I think that this ferry was worn off after 25 years of service between Calais and Dover. And that she didn't comply to the newest safety regulations.

Glad i've been on her many times though, its a shame but we've got to move on some time soon/.

I think that the Pride of Calais (Ostend Spirit) had been worn so much in the 25 years of service, that she had to be scrapped.
