before a little i was seeing Palermo by satellite. (pic 1)
I zoomed the screen a bit and I saw Palermo differently (pic 2)
Is this an innovation of marinetraffic or something else?

I think it's just the google maps (I think that's who they use) sateliette took the zoomed in picture at a different time :D

have you tried it on your computer?

Aah, I couldn't really see from you original picture what the problem was, I thought it was light difference, but now I have seen it on my own machine I understand. The problem of angles is one I have been confused by in the past, I guess its because google can't get a detailed picture via sateliette, so I think pic 2 may have been taken by plane? I know previously I have hated google maps for not having enough detail close up, and if they are going to do that for almost everywhere (if not everywhere), that will be great! If anyone can shed any more light on this we would both be apprieciative! :)

I hope so!!! :2thumbs:

I have just noticed too, that if you zoom in to make the picture like your second picture, if you look in the top left hand corner, around the round camera mover thing, there is a circle with a little square with N on it (you can see it on you're picture GeoP). Click on the N and drag it around the circle and you get different angles! :D
