Title: Use DirectX 10 graphic card for Ship Simulator 2008 and 2006

I would like to know if itÂ´s possible to run SS2006 and/or SS2008 with DirectX 10 ?

Tomorrow I will buy the latest Nvidia GeForce 8800 Ultra GDDR3 768 MB PCI-E graphic card which can handle DirectX 10 futures. If this works I will post some screenshots from SS2006 and/or SS2008 on this topic.

Yes, Ship Simulator (both versions) will work fine with DirectX 10. DirectX is backwardly compatible with previous versions, right back to DX 5 if I remember right ;)

WoW,you lucky,That means you dont haft to worry about any low frame rates on any game that is coming out right now and this year. ;D

Post by: erikac on October 13, 2007, 00:35:28: I have now bought the graphic card but I havenÂ´t installed it in my computer yet because my PSU donÂ´t have enough free cables. The graphic card needs four cables to give the card power from the PSU, in the coming weeks I will fix that, maybe buy a new PSU or fix it in a other way.

As soon as I have fixed this problem I will post some screenshots when all the graphic settings in SS 2006 and SS2008 are on maximum.

full graphic settings and goes as smooth as silk tho my e6600 cpu is o/cloched to 3 ghand

Next week I will have a chat with a guy that I know to fix the problem with the cables.

While waiting I am running my pc with a GeForce 8400 GS 256 MB PCI-E.

weatha dx10 is beter I see little difference,perhaps if I could have two machines the same with side by side monitors I may see something,I am running on 32 lcd samsung,now thats the bestbig is beautiful
