Title: Deep Endeavour-my favourite name for a ship
Post by: Aslad on March 20, 2013, 20:54:14
Hi everyone!

To those that have seen me online, you'll know that I usually pretend my ship is called "Deep Endeavour" and I usually use the fastest, sleekest ships that ShipSim has to offer-then I looked it up....

http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Deep+Endeavour&hl=en&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=vhJKUcDsKMWn0QW3xoCIAQ&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAQ&biw=1366&bih=598

I'm not entirely sure what kind of a ship this is-can anyone tell me? Is it some kind of salvage ship or research vessel? Would it be a good addition to the game?
I really want to know.

Thanks! Aslas

Ok-apparently it is a dive support vessel! Can anyone verify this?   ;p

"She has been being used for supporting RO V
operations, saturation diving intervention,
and subsea maintenance activities, as well as
IMR projects especially topsides work on platforms.
The vessel is equipped with a helideck
approved for Superpuma sized helicopters"

This is coming from a PDF file published by (presumably) the company that own/operates her (Deep Ocean Group) if you google Deep Endeavour the PDF should be the second link
