Hi Eric,
How do you register the game? I can't find the keys in the Steam installation directory (C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Ship Simulator Extremes)

Hi
Hope this helps PIC
-
I tried that and all I got was failed to contact key server it means they cant generate a key for us and so far they have alot of complaints anyway we can get this solved?
-
Hi
Hope this helps PIC
I'm afraid not, as I don't have a product code to put into that box.
-
Hi
Then I can only assume this is not a valid copy so no help can be given.

Hi, i had the same problem last week after a reinstall of Steam and it has nothing to do with a valid copy!
Open Steam, go to the libary. On the left Side you can find shipsim extremes+ in small letters. Click right on it an than click Produkt keys. A new window will open an you can see all the Produktkeys of the Game and addons. click on the Shipsim extremes Key an now you will see a play button. Click on it an the Game should work.
This worked for me and it should work for you too, i hope.
I know my english is not realy good, but ihope i could help you ;).

Technical support is suddenly being flood by similar situations. It needs to be dealt with on steam's end as we don't have any control over Steam's licensing server. Especially in last weekend many reports of this got delivered.
I did ask the devs about it though, perhaps they know about this issue.
My current advice is to contact Steam's customer support.

The developers confirmed that this is a steam related issue. You will need to contact their customer support at www.steampowered.com
It's not the first time Steam has server related issues keeping people from playing games, How many times I have received the "No steam servers available", "This game is currently unavailable", "cannot go offline because steam cannot connect" to many different games. It's truly frustrating since you paid money for a product you are unable to play because their servers are "busy" And in this case, VSTEP get's the blame for this.
Try to follow any of their steps on their support page:
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2204-OPGC-4862
Especially the last step could be interesting. This method fixed many of my steam problems.
Just for the record, this issue is not only isolated to SSE.

I have put two emails on steam support and yet no answer back! so frustrating! i emailed them monday and yesterday! so mad!

They seem to be very slow with responding. You are not the only one awaiting response.
I have reported the issue and VSTEP has contacted Paradox in the mean time (our publisher) to ask Steam what may be the cause of the problem. Hopefully we'll receive an update from them any time soon!
