Hello Royalhighlander,
Steam already automaticly updates your games, so they should be up to date. :)

As VirtualSkipper stated, the Steam version of the game is patched automatically by Steam. You should never use the patches on the main ShipSim.com web site for the Steam version. The disk-based version of the game that is published by Paradox uses (and requires) Steam (at least here in the U.S.), so all updates will be automatically applied to your game as they are made available through Steam. For multiplayer, I believe you need to register your game's product key here on the forums to access the multiplayer servers. Just go to your "Profile" page here on the forums, and enter your Product Key in the "License Key Registration" area, and click the "Register" button.
Good luck, and I hope this information helps.

I looked and all my games arte registerd and showing up in my profile.. so now what?? I was thibnking of buying the latest games now available but... not if I cant play them??

Hi RoyalHighlander,
As I cannot see "EXTREMES" below your name when you post, it would seem that your SSE game is not registered in your profile. If it does show as being registered in your profile, try unregistering it and then re-register.
Traddles.

Ship Simulator 2006
Ship Simulator 2008
Heavy lift ship "Jumbo Javelin"
Ship Simulator New Horizons
I deleted my key info for obviuos reasons, I dont have extremes yet but if I cant get anything elae to work why buy another game right??
-
Why then are you posting in the Ship Simulator Extremes board?
-
Agreed, please post in the correct forum for the version you need help with. Everything I posted previously was specific to Ship Simulator Extremes. The disk version of SS08 (at least the collector's edition,) does *not* use steam. Since you already have SS08 registered to your profile, you should have access to the technical support forum for SS08, which can probably give you the additional help you need. :)
Good luck!
