Hello Shipsim community. I am having a annoying trouble with ship sim extremes. I just bought the game intalled it, I intalled the final programs it asked and etc... Activated etc... Well, I try to run the game, but it only appears a tiny VSTEP screen and it keeps an endless loading, It would never end. And when I close it, it gives me a bunch of DLL errors. Any fix for that?

Before we can help you must add your SSE key-code to your profile (click the profile button, then scroll down a bit ;)) Once you've done that, you get access to the tech support board! :2thumbs:

Hi
I had same problems:
I removed Ship sim ext with MS windows uninstall prog. then removed win reg ( pls make back up just in case) from all ship sim extremes data then resinstalled it, now it is working.
Hope that helps

I had the same problem (non-Steam) and took the following steps:
1: Uninstall all SSE programmes, except saved missions (using Glary utilities)
2: Updated Microsoft Visual C++ (as described by Torslunde, with thanks!)
3: Updated Windows XP as well as Nvidia drivers
4: Downloaded fresh copies of all SSE programmes (to eliminate any corrupt install files)
5: Disabled my Avast antivirus for 1 hour
6: Installed SSE 1.35 (tested, works OK)
7: Installed SSE Ferry add-on package (tested again, works OK)
8: Installed SSE 1.4 upgrade (tested again, works OK)
9: Installed SSE 1.5 upgrade (tested again, works OK)
So far so good...

A key point here btw, as I have just found out after spending a couple of hours trying to resolve similar issues yesterday......and I found this hidden away in one of the many other posts relating to these issues - if you are running 64 bit version of Windows, when downloading the Microsoft Visual C++ update, DO NOT choose X64 but choose X86 version, this is the correct version for 64 bit and fixed the CustomCommand.DLL issue that I experienced after installing SSE on a new desktop.
