Title: Bad things cluster - Millenium Dos collides with container ship
Post by: The Ferry Man on January 14, 2012, 13:05:30
Yesterday not only did we have the Costa Concordia incident, but the Millenium Dos collided with the Container Vessel New Glory. Luckily only 2 people were seriously injured.

Apparently the officers onboard these ferries push their luck on quite a regular basis.

saying thats bad.
by intentional law every vessel over 20 or 200 tones (cant rember to be exact) has to have some sort of devise where other vesels, navys, coastguards ect, know exactly where it and whats it doing and all of its detail.
only naval ships have the rights to switch it off.
anyway almost every ship that comes into pembroke harbour, it suddely appears there a mile off shore and they got a range of 400 miles with there kit?
so its not offten they dont have to have a a little word with them about breaking the law
