Well, they've had a new game every 2 years for the past 5 years, is there gonna be a ship sim 2012 or anything like that?
-
No, SSE (released in August 2010) isn't even considered as a finished game yet (by me, anyway). There is still a lot of work to do on it, so SS12 won't ever exist.
-
Perhaps SSE 2010 will be the last one of ShipSim series to be released. I think that the economic depression will take its toll.
Vstep should iron out all the remaining bugs in SSE 2010 and add a special compatibility mode for older PCs.
-
Vstep also said they want SSE to last longer. So my guess is that if they finally get rid of all the bugs (which is what they are trying to do since the release, over a year ago), they will do as Train Simulator: A lot of DLC that we can buy in order to get new ships.
So SS12? Forget it...

I love too see Shipsim and Port of call do something like take poc game idea and put in too shipsim, that will be a hell of a game! Any chance for this ?????
-
To be honest, I think even IF vstep did make a new shipsim game, not many people would buy it. They made a real mess of SSE, what with delayed release times, countless bugs, doctored release images, and general dissapointment for many.
I for one would NOT buy it. not until they fix what they've broken with SSE.
-
Then I would encourage you not to buy their new DLCs before all the bugs are fixed. Releasing and selling the Winner before the release of a patch was (is) very insulting!
