Title: Steering and reversing vessels using props.

I have had a problem in steering and reversing the tug, which only has right and left prop controls,and also the large cruise liner.
I cannot find anywhere where it tells exactly how to use such controls, and wondered if anyone could help me?
In particular I need to be able to move the tug stern first as part of one of the scenarios, and don't know how to do this - pressing the right cursor key (for example) seems to put both controls as if in reverse, but simply steers the boat to the right.
Any help with this will be very much appreciated, as it presumably is the same with any vessel steering by propellers.

Hi Stuart,
This topic refers to SS2008 but the controls for Bugsier 2 & Ocean Star operate the same way in SSE.

Jumbo Javelin now does have a control for the retractable thruster. It appears the same as those on Ocean Star.

Hi earwigo, to help you further understand the Bugsier, here's a picture of a model..
As you can see, the azimuth thrusters are placed in the forward part of the ship..
Also keep in mind that the Bugsier has no reverse. To go backwards you must turn the azi-thrusters 180°..

2. controls in ahead drive.
3. controls in astern drive.

You can quickly reverse by holding down the left or right arrow keys and applying power with the up arrow key.
