Terrible accident on the Solent Express hovercraft running across the solent on sunday.Passengers must of had a shock that day because a massive bang occured on the travel from Southsea to Ryde when the black prop shaft broke off from the drive shaft and the propeller fell into the solent and as you can see in the picture the prop shaft has completely broke off !! Fortunately the craft made it to Ryde with 1 engine.

Ooo scary! I hope none got hurt!
-
Wow and what hovercraft was that I know there a couple that look the same?
-
What's so terrible about that accident? Did anyone get hurt or killed?
Or is it just a machine, that got broken?
-
Just the engine and prop no one was killed or injured just a shock
-
Electrical shock? nah just kidding. :P
-
how did that happen?
-
far as I know they never lost anything ;)
-
Although it appears the prop is missing it is still there, a spokesman from hovertravel said that the airduct prevented the prop from flying off and contained it and is just out of site in the picture

so you are saying its a fun accident?
-
My guess would be it's a case of 'metal fatigue'..

Not everything is fun just because it isn't terrible. There are more colours than black and white.
Just a technical breakdown. That's what can happen, although it shouldn't – but it's not what I call a terrible accident.
I guess saltydog is right.
