Title: Train Simulators
Post by: sydmichel on October 13, 2011, 00:38:03
Have any of you sim junkies tried either Railworks 3 or Train Simulator 12.  They are both brilliant, and if I am honest, I think that they come closer to simulating driving a train than SSE comes to driving a ship.  But then again its like compairing Apples to Pears.  Does anyone agree?

I enjoy Railworks 3 ;D

There is defintely more... realism with Railworks then SSE, because VSTEP doesn't want SSE stepping on the toes of bigger brother Nautis, and its this which is letting it down I think

you may be right.  However I´m willing to bet that even in Nautis, the rain on the bridge windows is nowhere near as realistic as the rain on the train windscreen.

The rain is kind of just eye candy though, and SSE is hard enough on systems as it is

Things like bouys marking channels is the stuff we need

I have RW3 Indeed, I just can't get enough of how sweet the BNSF dash 9 sounds mixed in with the TSX engine  :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o ;D ;D ;D ;D and I fully agree with what you said, Also FSX, b377 + ACCUSIM + ACCUSIM pt.2 + CAPITAN OF THE SHIP = REALISM to the max
