It would be nice to know who he was because i have a website with pictures of all the victims who perished in the sea on that day..

I could then maybe put up a picture of him..knowing that he's your grand father

il think about it
i think ill call it project titanic
but what you are asking for is a masive project with over 1,000 people on it.
it a lot harder as you think as we have to wait 100 years after there death to start without family permission.
but then we need pictures of them deatels, and we need to build a case to every person who had died to prove to the goverment and there familys that they wore on titanic.
it a project that will cost a lot and will take time and then we need a legal team just in case if the family turns around saying that they did not allow us to do it. and we need a documentaion for it

it feels as if the real ship itself is just a fairy tale and the only way people know about it is by watching the movie.

My grand grand father was Ivan Papanin, a Russian Polar Explorer, Scientist, Counter Admiral, twice Hero of the Soviet Union awarded nine Orders of Lenin. Together with researchers Ernst Krenkel, Evgeny Fedorov and Petr Shirshov he was in charge of the famous expedition North Pole-1 that took place on a drifting ice-floes. Papanin's team carried out a wide range of scientific observations in the near-polar zone, until they saw the 4-funneled ship and mistook it for an icebreaker that should have taken them back from ice. After unsuccessful attempt of boarding the ship, expedition had to continue until they were taken back by the two icebreakers "Murman" and "Taimyr". It was the first expedition of its kind in the world. All members of the expedition received the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, which was extremely rare before World War II. Just tellin' you people.

According to this list with 1st class passengers on the trip to New York, there was no passenger named Alan.

If this is true, then this is a low thing to say, clone.  :-\

I've just learned today that no one I know of or have heard of was on that ship.

Incredible. Just like millions of other people I have no link to that ship at all. Hurrah!
