hey my graphics i got off my friend for free is:
Geforce4 MX 440 with AGP8X (128mb)
and if it does work i was just wondering if you still can see the waves if you have the graphics on low..right?

Wow what type of card is that??? ??? Once I had a 128 MB graphic card. And it stank. ;)

Hiya Matt, good to see you back :)
Unfortunately, that card won't work with Ship Simulator. It's very old now and the MX cards were cut-down versions of the GeForce hardware. I would suggest getting at least something in the GeForce 6 series, higher if you want to really appreciate the full impact of Ship Sim :)
I would also avoid the LE range of cards, they are similar to the MX cards of the past ;)
I suspect that if you try the demo as suggested, the game won't even run.

k, DJM i downloaded it like when it same out straight away and i tryed it but my old graphics card wouldnt work either so i deleted it :/ but looks like i have to download it again..lol

Hi, Matt, chances are you didn't fully delete the demo.
Try looking here for it:
Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs -> Ship Simulator 2008 Demo. Then reinstall it.
Alternately try here:
My computer -> Local Disk -> Program Files -> Vstep -> Ship Simulator 2008 Demo.
