I find the cinematic mode is quite hard to use, I just keep clicking until something happens...

Hi,
please check this thread :
http://80.95.161.114/shipsim/forum/index.php/topic,23516.0.html
The main new feature is the cinematic camera. This one is only available through the in game interface (no keyboard shortcut). Click on the camera icon (bottom right corner of your screen), then on the lowest camera button (showing a 16mm camera).
Click on the icon, then choose the position of the camera. Left click to validate the position. Then you have to move your mouse forward or backward to set the camera height. When the camera axis is green, it's okay, when it's red, you're not allowed to choose this position. Once the camera is created, you still can rotate and zoom it with your mouse, but if you switch to another view, you'll have to recreate the cinematic camera. This new camera allows you very nice (and new) points of view, examples !
Oh and, BTW, when you have a question like this, please use the "search" tools of the forum .... The above thread is the first result when you search for "cinematic" on the forum ... ;-)

The axis has disappeared though... :/
