Hello there. I am wanting to ask this forums a little question about my PC. I am trying to play the Ship Simulator Extremes demo, but I cannot. My system requirements seem fine? I have checked my system and it has the requirements, but even on the lowest settings I cannot play it.

Please reinstall the demo file and see if it helps.

Hi Captain Jake,
your graphic card is not strong enough, the 9500 Gt is far below the minimum requirements.

OK thank-you!

No 3rd ..... that does make some sense ...... as per the latest rankings the 8800 GT stands at 100 and the 9500 GT stands at 295 !!

I agree..I'm afraid the program that gave those results is not very reliable when it comes to videocards..

If I can add something about the 9500gt. The 9500gt is capable off playing SSE. I had it myself and hadn't any problem with it at all ;D. So maybe it's not so good as the 8800 but it's capable.
What you could try is update the graphic card driver.
And I have to say the 9500gt could use an update but I find it hard to believe that the 9500gt is the problem

I have an Nvidia 9400GT which is not very powerfull. I have set the graphics opstions in both SSE and the Nvida Control Panel for performance. With the MSI Afterburner I overclock the 9400 GT a bit.

OK,
extremes should run with the 9500 GT, but not liquid more like a slideshow. I know that many people play this game with older and not so powerfull cards. It's nice that it works, but to play constantlyat with 10-20 frames is not really good.
A game starts from 24 FPS to run liquid, in some games this value is even higher.
At the last time I could test some Cards with shipsim Ex. If you will play Shipsim Ex nearly fluid with high settings, is the minimum what you need a GTX 285, GTX 460 or Ati 5850.
As overview I've created a short list as a pdf. The test should only show a small overview of the performance with ship simulator extreme. For direct comparison please also look at test from expert sides.
I Know It's hard, but a modern game needs a current Graphic Card. My GTX 275 is also not enough any more, to play the new games i must buy a better one.

Please compare ship simulator not with games like Call of Duty, these are all built differently and have much smaller maps. It's better you look at benchmarks from TDU 2 or Crysis Warhead.
