Title: Trying to identify a Brittany Ferries ship
Post by: rich84 on July 12, 2011, 23:16:00
Hopefully someone can confirm the ship that I think it is, I spotted her from Sandown beach heading towards Portsmouth from France (Portsmouth - St. Malo I think). I'm 98% certain that it's "Bretagne" but theres a couple of other Brittany ferries ships that look similar. I think it's Bretagne because I sailed on her years ago & we came back on Quiberon which suffered an engine fire while I was on it!

My 12 megapixel Canon IXUS focused well on the company name but didn't pick up the name of the ship.

Thanks TFM, I thought it was because I thought it looked like one the Brittany ferries I had sailed on to France & I've only been on two of there ships, one was the Bretagne & the other was Quiberon.

Would she have been working the Portsmouth to St Malo route?

Thanks

When did you see her? She usually operates Ports-St Malo, although sometimes during the winter she goes back on the Santander run (She is a better seakeeper then the Pont-Aven I think)
