Hi,
Forgive me if this has been covered before but I ran a search in the forums and didn't get any hits for "drawing distance".
Is there a config file or a way for the end user to alter the drawing distance in the game?
I have noticed that in many cases objects that are relatively close to the ship will vanish because of a LOD or drawing distance setting in the software.
In most cases my computer runs the software well.... 25-40FPS @ 1900x1200 res details to the max.
I did purchase a new video card (Nvidia 570GTX) that seems to have made a big difference in performance.
I'm enjoying the game so far.
Thank VStep

And what is the Clipping Distance in SSE? I can adjust it with yhe slider control in the quality options menu.

That's how far the hidden and secret Clipper addon can sail before it needs to take in new supplies.. :P
Or it could have to do with this:

;D

Mad Fred,
I understand the definition of clipping in the software.
I take it that there is no way to adjust this beyond the GUI slider in the program? An XML or config file or something that can be edited by the user? There are many sims that can be tweaked by adjusting parameters that are "hidden".
Just curious
Thanks

Hi Bukko,
I replied to MokMok with my remark, sorry, I should have quoted him to make that clear. :)
I am pretty sure that there are indeed ways to influence such things. However since that's not permitted under the EULA, I can't really render any assistance as such, on here. Sorry. ::)
Regards,
Fred

ON the subject... something I have noticed, but the other way round leaving Calais very soon you can see the triple masts of Dover, not long after departing, whats worse is that you can;t actually see the cliffs, so you just have the three masts hanging in mid air, can also see the berths :/
