Title: Ship Simulator professional
Post by: kamykazee on April 25, 2011, 10:14:02: Hello, i have been to the site dedicated to Ship Simulator Professional (SSP) and i requested a price quote from them. However, while i wait, i was wondering i would ask here:

1) How much would the trainee station cost, the one concerned with the manoeuvering. Could anyone provide a price estimate?
2) Is it a possibility for them to offer a price reduction or trial for those who are maritime students?

Thanks, 3000 euros, oh well. Any idea what is the difference between it and SSE? Is the manoeuvering the same, graphics the same, or different, is the on-board equipment actually functional?

In my opinion it's possibly only for the software.

They have a demo, only for registered users, not for private us, only for maritime schools and maritime business and so on

Yes, that is quite natural. No company will post its pricing on it's webpage. This will be revealed only to serious buyers..... and I am sure they will be told it is meant for a full motion bridge simulator !!

Kamy ... there is a HUGE difference between â‚¬40 for SSE and â‚¬3000 for Nautis, so the features will also be a lot more superior. Nautis is meant for Training schools conducting Ship's Bridge Simulator courses. They are made up of a mock up of ship's bridge and with controls which have almost the same size of what you would see on a real ship. So in that sense there are plenty of additional expenses in setting it up.

a friend of mine has an account there and i asked him about it and there was NO demo to be found
