Title: SSE Merchandise?
Post by: Swenson on March 31, 2011, 13:06:04
Ship Simulator Extremes merchandise, how about that? We would like to know your opinion about a cool merchandise line for Ship Simulator Extremes. Would you be interested? What is the maximum price you would spend on an item? What items would you like? Every input is welcome, positive or negative!

Some examples:

I'm always interested in mugs, got to love my cup of tea.. And I'd been willing to pay up to £5 for it :)

Personally, I'm not as keen on buying shirts, but others will probably say different :)

Ooh a T Shirt...

Maybe featuring some of our favourite ferries...  !:)

I like the sound of that...

*Even more if I can get the CQ done and get HER on a T Shirt

but yes, sounds interesting, and a mug too :)

Bit over the top this, but how about one of them pens which has a little picture thing inside that goes up and down? Maybe some of the popular SS Ships...  !:)

Yes, I too cannot see the pictures. It seems to happen when the upload is through Imageshack. I suppose it would be better if the pictures were attached (thanks TFM) than being placed in the main body of the message.

Hi,
the idea with the mouse pads is nice, with pictures of the enviroments or ships.
Or maybe a booklet with detailed maps and informations of all the enviroments.
So you have a map were you could see the hole environment and you could plan your trip and navigation
outside SSE. I think that would be nice

i hav an idea! what if revell had a line of sse models. models of all the ships in the scales 1:500 and 1:1200. and what about lego having a line of sse ship models?

What about making the game work first, fix the game and the ships and enviroments from the competition. Then we can start to talk about things like this.

I have at least very little interest of walking around with a t-shirt which makes commersial for a product which does not work 100%.

But it is a good idea for the future.

Hello Samuel,

I found the picture of that cap on the Net and I cannot track it down now. But you can check the links below and they have caps almost similar.

Totally agree with you wiqvist. SSE is an insecure platform still. It crashes several times. The maneuverability is hateful; I can`t understand who is wasting money to buy  consoles for this software at this moment. In some ships when you move the engine control one milimeter the power rises to 30% or more. VStep without notice, changes or removes ships or performances from SS2008 to SSE. And we could follow talking and talking about the list of problems, inconsistencies, which make this simulator really annoying. Obviously is not the moment to talk about merchandising.

Ship Simulator of VStep follows being the big hope of ship simulators. But follows being the dashed hope. I think Ship Simulator; 2008, Extremes, Paradise... or whatever name want, is our only possiblity at this moment. Only would be necessary VStep would take a strategic decision about it.

Rbsanford. If you are interested en model ships, Revell have a full container ship very similar to Vermaas, on 1/700 scale. The Colour Fantasy on 1/1200 scale. If you are more ambitious Billing Boates has the Fairmount Alpine (sister of Fairmount Sherpa) on 1/200 scale, but very expensive of course.

Greeting.

Rbsanford. You can find Fairmount Alpine at http://www.howesmodels.co.uk. 274,99 sterling pounds, or 320,00 Euros more or less.

Greetings.

Well, according to the currency converter, which I use, the kit is around $450,00.  :P
But that is around the usual pricing for a wooden model, and it's even RC!

How come whenever I think about wearing T-shirts for computer games it conjures up images of a fat, bald, yellow-skinned guy hanging out of a car window driving by pointing and yelling "NEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRD!!!!!!!!!!!!!"  ???
