Hallo,
The sigita pack from the shipyard costs 4.99€.
The same pack via steam 5.99€, one euro more, for what?
Therefore that Steam users have more problems and must wait longer for an update and DLC?
Now you can say its just one euro, but its principle.
Thats not really fair that Steam users must pay more than the others. I had no choice i must use Steam, cause i have the DVD version.
What will the Ferry pack cost via Steam 16.99€ or more?
It makes me a little bit angry and im not going to buy any DLC via Steam.
regards agekiel

It's not required that you buy it in steam .... 8)
It costs more because steam that automatically installs update's .. i think, i'm not sure. ???

STEAM also has to put some labor in it to make the DLC available on their market. I think they charge a nickle or 2 extra to cover their own expenses ;)

A nickle or two to pay the bills.. :)

39,99 Euro from V-Step - I don't know how much this is in USD. People who calculate in euro are not interested in the price in USD - especially, when they live in Kiel.
But although one Euro more for Sigita doesn't hurt, you can of course ask yourself why you should pay more - for automatic updates of the Sigita?
I'm happy that I own a Steam free V-Step DVD-version, because I AM able to download a update by myself and don't need third party software to manage that.

I too have the DVD version from Vstep. When I hear of all the problems Steam users are having I think it is best to buy from Vstep !!

Although some peeople (like me) bought SSE in a box, thinking it would be a normal SS08 style installation, insted they were given steam, and they can't not use it, so in some ways you could say there being forced to pay X amount more if they want the DLC... Maybe if vstep made it so you could by the pack off here at the same price for steam users?

If I would have known that the Steam version was going to have so many problems then I would have gladly spent more money and bought directly from V-Step.

Yes, the best advice I can give anybody is to ALWAYS buy Ship Simulator products from Vstep through www.shipsim.com . I am saying this from personal experience as all my DVDs and downloads are from www.shipsim.com and I have not faced any problems during or after installation.

Also if you buy directly from Vstep, all your money is ploughed back into them :2thumbs:
Steam charge more because they have extra overhead costs etc, and also need to make a profit. It's the same if you buy a new game in high street gaming shops - they usually cost more.

Why must you pay more on Steam? To pay for the 8 day delay you get...

or just to let steam mess with your computer :(

I bought through Impulse. All the niceness of digital downloads (no CD or CD key to lose, readily available on multiple computers) without the PITA that Steam is. As a plus, I can also buy any DLC straight from V-step and it will work. Or I can get it through Impulse again and have everything in one place.
