Hi guys,
Last week i bought this cargo ship. its my first Rc boat and its almost complete. So there is a engine in it and other stuff. Must do a few things on it before she go in the water. I will make photo's of it and other boats to! There are always a lot of tugg boats. 8)
Why Mearsk Alabama? Because its the only Mearsk ship i could find with cranes in the middle  Orginal name is Graupner Neptun. Some pic's,
I know Mearsk is wrong spelled lol

nice! where you got it?

That's the Neptun, made by Graupner. It's a very nice boat, i also had one. I also had a bowthruster in mine  It's not very hard to build a bowthruster in it, but you will need to re-paint the hull and you need a transmitter with more then 2 channels.

The real Maersk Alabama was highjacked by pirates in 2009 off the Somalie coast. The pirates held the Master hostage in the lifeboat.

Nice model

How strange! I have the same model on the garret, waiting for some time to assemble it, and - believe it or not - I've also plans to re-construct the ship, but in the opposite way! With a forward located decks house and some major changes to become a RoRo vessel. :2thumbs:
You gave me a new inspiration. ;D

Nice model :2thumbs:

Very nice model,
the Neptun was also one of my very first models :-) I did build her the way with the Structure mid-ship. She is not only a nice looking one, she is also seaworthy (right word for a ship going through heavy seas without problems?) :2thumbs: I went around the whole Island of Fehmarn with her (on her own keel!) :captain:
if you´d like to have a look on some other vessels, there is a link to a video on youtube I made.. in the end there are also some nice cargo vessels:

And by the way,.. the hovercrafts, the Seabex One and the OilRigSupplyship Aziz (the one carrying the camera) are my buildings (on wich I´m quite proud of  )
Keep up the bulding and enjoy the sailing, it´s really a nice one!

You forgot to change the name on the bow it still says Neptum Ct. Jim.
-
the first photo's yes. At last ones i take it already off. Look at the back of the ship is no name any more
-
How will you call it? The "Maersk Neptune"? Would love to see a pic of her going through the water... she has such a great design
Keep it on...

Ah.. wait.. for the containerdeck... why not using a long deck all over the two openings, where you could put the container all the way from bow to bridge ( including the cranes)
