Title: A nice new yacht.
Post by: Mr Robville on March 07, 2011, 20:37:46
hello all, i decided to start a new low priority project.
with low priority i mean i work on it when i feel to. so far the titanic mod must be completed first, but a little variety in modelling sometimes is not complete unnecesairy.

the new vessel i will make is a not too big yacht to do some exploring around islands or ports.
just like the Oceana and it's tender i made the design by myself. i designed it for a school exam project and i thought it would be fun making it for SSE.
some general specifications:

Length overall: 23M
beam: 5.8M
draft: 1.58M
capacity: 8 people
deployables: Zodiac and jetski.
top speed: TBD

enough talking, here are some first WIP's and the vessel's blueprint:

it is not intended for a next possible CCC, i have diffrent plans in mind for that (no not another passengership)

i use Cinema 4D for all my modelling work.
the blueprint is made using AutoCAD.

ok going to look for the program (BTW: do you know if you can use the hull from the programs in google sketchup pro)

i have looked on the site but which autocad is best for ship blueprints????

i use AutoCAD 2009, there are probably a lot of ACAD versions, but the normal version should do enough.
autocad does not work the same as other 3d tools, you can't export to .3ds so it's for making blueprints only.

That's not Google SketchUp, it's Cinema 4D.

That was uncalled for. And also you should look more carefully at the date the reply is made.  ::)
