Title: ShipSim Design Tools/Api
Post by: muns on May 17, 2007, 20:27:26
Hi,

I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this message, if it's not then I appologise.....

Will ShipSim 2008 come with any tools to allow content to be added to the game, if so what?

If it is possible to add new ships and other items, will there be a set of published doccumentation to aid development.

Will ShipSim allow 3rd party plug in features?  If so will you publish the APIs for them? Any chance of a pre release copy for study?

Regards

muns.

There is supposed to be a SDK that will allow new ships to be added, but I don't know if it extends to scenery.  It is also not clear whether it will come out with SS2008 or be a later download.

I think everyone at Vstep is bailing as hard as they can to get the new version out, so I suspect that it doesn't look too good for advance copies.

Chers,
Michael

Please please PLEASE use the search tool and research a topic before posting it. As it has been posted in many places, for 2008 there is a Ship Editing Tool that will be released around the time Ship Simulator 2008 hits the market.
