Where is Freedom90's update?
Will she be able to hover on Water?
Will her turning cirle be smaller?
will she be able to hover propally over high sea waves without crashing against it?

Do you think they might make a superpack for the freedom90?
Like they done in ss08 to fix some ships and add lights, fix bugs etc

So do I,...

waiting for such a long time now only to take a clean hover from Dover to Calais..

But as I´m a helpless optimistic Person  8) I still have the hope they will fix the Freedom 90 and perhaps... only perhaps they really might bring out a hovercraft download package  (At it´s best, containing your SRN-4 and an SRN6..)

As you now.. hope dies last  ::)

So keep our fingers crossed,
Holger

Well, Hovercrafts are not on top of the to-do-list at VSTEP, I fear. Unfortunately it is a more or less  extincted type of vehicle.. :-\

I hope not  :(

I liked the Freedom 90...

Edit: But at the least it can;t be TOO hard surely to get the F90 at least to go similar to in SS08 - After all it was in SS08 and it was fine

Hey,....

that´s not totally correct! Threre are quite a lot of new kinds of hovercrafts starting to operate all around the world... they are only a small part of all vehicles, but they are gaining more and more importance... the Greek took 3 gigantic hovercrafts into duty, the Russians have 12, the Canadians have 14 (of wich 6 belong to the coastguard and are important for rescue missions, ice breaking (they just orderd a new one for icebreaking) and mantainance), the Americans have a lot more than 400 (most of them work as militarycrafts for amphibious missions, right now on a supply mission for flood-victims), even in NewZeeland the Kiwis use 3 as Rescue- and Airport-Security Crafts...

And they are getting more by the minute  ;D

Griffon Hoverworks for example (http://www.griffonhoverwork.com/) are working on a new type of passenger craft for the isle of wight route.

On this ferryroute (http://www.hovertravel.co.uk/) you can also find the original Freedom 90 Craft...  wich is a quite old one, ::) I must admit...

But they are sure not becoming extinct!

Just to say that

Best wishes,
Holger

By the way,.. the foto is the Freedom 90 in her latest livery  ;D

Also, Nautis features... a second hovercraft  :-[

http://www.nautissim.com/products/detail/product/naval_task_force_trainee_station

Look through the pics - And its on land

Now we are not asking for it, but it is a shame they can't fix the hovercraft in SSE...  :-\

It also features a more detailed version of Dover - it has ALL the berths  :-\

Yes,

the Ferry Man, so are quite some people! Including me of course  ;)  That might even give a hovercraft-download-pack... your SRN-4, the LCAC from Nautis and perhaps a smaller one (the SRN-6 for example).

If someone knows how to work with the mission editor, I could add a lot of hovercraft-storys to make missions out of them  Just havn´t got the time to do it myself..

best wishes,
Holger

In fact, IIRC Griffon hovercraft are used by the UK's national lifeboat service, the RNLI, at a couple of lifeboat stations as well, mainly for mud rescues.

New Brighton lifeboat (Wirral, England) has this one called "Hurley Spirit". The picture shows her ashore after an excercise with Perch Rock lighthouse and Liverpool port radar tower in the background.

thats hovercraft is quite small and easy to control.

I have see quite a few ramps in SSE in different enviroments and i think this craft would be great
