Title: How to make a hull in sketchup 8?

I am tryingt to make a hull of a old liner ship, because they haven't got bulbous, I will try make bulbous later,
but how I make a hull, I tried to make a hull, but I'm not sure about it.
Can someone say me how to make a hull?
I am doing it right?
in the attach have images of what I am doing.

Hi

Personally, I get the top one, then drag it down to the desired height. then you can use the drag and/or rescale tools to make it slanted and make it look more hull like  :)

Also, don't need FRAPS for the pictures, you can use file -> export -> 2D Model

even this one is with a bulbous bow, it serves well enough for a vessel without it  ;)
