Title: How do i set up a dual screen setup ?

I have one Dell moniter and another moniter and i have two cables. I know how to plug it in etc.. but i don't know how you tell my pc to like go on to screens ? on one screen i want my ship sailing and on the otehr one i want the whole screen large navigation map screen. how do i do this ??
