Title: Time runs slow
Post by: muns on January 09, 2011, 00:02:00
Hi all, not been on here for a while.  received my copy of SSE and updated it to 1.3......

It seems to me that the clock is running at half speed (i.e. 2 seconds elapsed real time for each second indicated) - is it just me?

That happens to most I think with slow computers, like me. The real time would elapse some odd seconds until a game second passes.

Hi Muns,

Like SS 2008, SSE experiences time dilation at lower frame rates, but not nearly to the extent that ’08 does. The last time I checked, it was not significant until well below 15 FPS. I’ll measure it again in 1.3 when I get a chance. What was your frame rate when you noticed this?

Regards,
Marty

Hi

Not sure the current frame rate - cant recall how to check it.

For information, my processor is a Intel i3-350M, 8G Ram, Intel HD graphics & Win 7 Ultimate 64bit.
The Win7 performance scores are:  Processor 6.3, Memory 6.3, Graphics 3.9, Gaming graphics 4.9, HD 5.9.

Use Fraps for measuring your frame rate. You can download it here: http://www.fraps.com/download.php (http://www.fraps.com/download.php)

Hi,

I have installed FRAPS and run up SSE, my frame rate was less than 10 so I reduced the graphics quality down to "low" and time seemed to run at normal speed, the frame rate didnt improve by that much tho.

I think I will blame the Intel HD Graphics not being up to spec....cant change as its a lappy.
