my Ship Control Unit broke :C :'( what should i do? send it back to Belgium or contact someone locally?
ill have pics
-
Well, yes, send it back for repairs.
Contact simware about it, explain the problem, and they'll help you and tell you what to do.
It's neither made nor distributed by Vstep, so we can't help you here, obviously. :)
Simware has their own customer services to deal with these kinda things, and unless you have done something to it to void warranty or that is beyond 'reasonable use', they'll sort it for you.
I have very good experience with them, they helped me promptly and adequately with problems I have had with hardware in the past.
Regards,
Fred

:o God knows how much that will cost from America!
When mine broke, I contacted them.
They said to print off the email they sent as reference, and also a receipt for shipping so that I wouldnt have to pay.
It cost me 40€ to send it from Spain to Belgium.
And after 5 days I got a new ship console unit, but they said after all they decided they didn't want to pay for the 40€ I had to spend >:(
And just gave me a 12€ voucher in their shop. :'(
So be prepared for that

Do you guys mind to tell which part broke down? Is it thát fragile?
-
Well with mine...
The company that made it (VRInsight) made a bad batch at an early stage.
They recalled them all, or so everyone thought.
When I recieved mine, it had the exact same symptoms as described by the manufacturer, USB cable wasn't working and basically everytime you move the throttles it would disconect ???
So some clever person had given me one of that batch :(
That's why I had to send it back, which is why I'm annoyed I had to pay for postage back.
-
Well maybe you can get VRInsight to cover that, seeing how they caused it and all? Just thinking out loud. :-\
I must say, Simware have always been very forthcoming with me, I don't know why you got such a rough deal with them.
I didn't have to pay the postage when sending my stuff back. I mean, initially yes, but they refunded me because the problem was outside my control, which is obviously the case for you aswell.

Hey Dexter,
I seem to have missed a picture? ??? What was wrong with it exactly?
And Fred, I will indeed contact VRInsight, but the postage issue is purely Simware.
