I have one problem I bought shipsim extremes its working but than I downloaded update and i cannot instal it he writes unable to locate valid ship sim instalation what I need to do?

If you have bought the steam version of the game then it will be updated automatic from steam

the patch from www.shipsim.com are only for the non steam version.

At the top of this thread, I noted the mention of Steam version. :o
Err. in your previous reply to me in another topic, you said that they [different covered versions of SSE] are the same. ::)
What's he talking about; steam? :-\

Steam is a game client that distributes games on it's network. It's kind of like a game dealer (much the same as a car dealer) and will sell games through it's services.

The game content is exactly the same (apart from the preorder edition of course) and there is no difference between the Steam version, boxed version and download version apart from the way it is distributed and available.

Hope this clears things up a bit :)

Post by: Dustybin on November 29, 2010, 01:16:04: I don't understand why Vstep have released a new ship when the current ones aren't working properly. Is it not possible to consentrate on fixing what we have and getting it right and then worry about the Mission editor and news ships.
LET THEM ALONE AND GET THE THING WORKING PROPERLY

a) The ship isn't new, it was the pre-release content. It was already made long ago.

b) It doesn't take all people on the team to all concentrate on the same problems, there is also room for further development. You can't - for example - work with two people at once on the same pc working out the same problem at the same time with the same tool. And not all the developers have the same task/speciality either, etc.

c) other customers WANT new ships, an editor, etc..

Thats a few possible answers for you. But the problems are being worked on.. They are not ignored in favour of new content, it just works side by side.
