Bought the steam version 3 weeks ago and I never did manage to play it.
Errors Channellinker.dll and Meshsaver.dll came up and then the Quest viewer
Waited patiently for patch 1.2 and I still can't get the game to run
I have the following errors in that order
Channellinker.dll
Meshsaver.dll
Customcommand.dll
Channelcallerswitch.dll
then the questviewer after which I have to use the task manger to shut it all down.
Frustrated is putting it very midly indeed.
Any ideas on how to resolve these issues would be most welcome

One thing to try is to go to the installation directory of the game and run the file called "Unregister.exe".
By default this directory is C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\ship simulator extremes\ (for Steam) or
C:\Program Files\Vstep\ShipSimExtremes\ (for non-Steam).
This application does not show up, but runs in the background for a split second and cleans some installation stuff up, related to Ship Simulator Extremes.
Hope this helps.

I posted the same query on the Steam forum and one gentleman came forward with the following fix.
Finally after 3 weeks I am able to run the game.
Fix is as follows
Go to the Steam folder....go comon.....go shipsimulator extreme..... go resources......go redist
Run the following
dxwebsetup
Physx ....
vcredist ....
Reboot and this cleared all the dll errors
I am grateful to the gentleman who came to my help, but thank you for your reply just the same

Had the same problem as Capt Harry but thanks to Martijn's advice mine did not last as long as Capt Harry's. Thanks, thanks Martijn!!!! "Unregister.exe" worked like a charm!!

Martin, I've just followed your lead, and tried both of the suggested fixes. Neither on helped at all.
I just don't know where to go now [though some of you may tell me!!! ;)] or which steps to take next. :(:|
