Whe I want to sidestep the PoR by means of the bowthruster set at 70% and one engine set 20% ahead and the other engine 20% astern, just like I did in SS08, I notice that setting the controls at the right value goes very sluggish with over- and undershoots when I am setting these controls. Is this a bug or is it more like in the real world? In SS08 setting the right value of the controls was very smooth.

In SS2008 when you turned the helm, the rudder moved instantly, at the same time you moved the wheel. The rudder degree indicators in SS2008 aren't actually accurate as far as I know, just "eye candy". It is realistic that the rudders take time to turn after you have moved the wheel. Same with the bow thrusters, For example on the real Pride the bow thruster reaches full thrust 5 seconds after the control is moved.

But how do I sidestepping with twin engine vessels correctly in SSE2010? I know the basic principals are the same as SS08.
