It's of course real, I have seen it in Rotterdam a few month ago and the development team from VSTEP did a journey on her whilst under construction for the game. Yard? No idea, sorry!

Cheers

That's a voith schneider tug.

And the rpa12 isn't a tug, it is a insident responce vessel.

well this ship has firefighting capabilities and is used for towing but i never heard anyone call it an incident response vessel, also i assumed that the rpa12 was a tug because of its description in game

Hello,
One can think RPA12 was built by Scheepswerf Damen? Perhaps couls VStep confirm or deny it.
A very good picture of the ship is http://www.vesseltracker.com/de/ShipPhotos/18875-Rpa12-I7325.html
You can indeed clearly see the Becker rudders (w/flaps) and the controllable pitch propellers.

Luc

RPA12 is a fireboat, vstep have some plans, mabye the boat you drive will burn, and you can take RPA12 to rescue the boat from the flames! :P

hi all ,

the rpa 10/11/12/13/16 are all build by damen shipyard (www.damen.com)
10/11/12/13 are all sisterships
the 16 is also a sistership
the only difference is that the rpa 16 is a seagoing vessel

for your info the vessel are capable of delivering 30 m3 of water every minute

kind regard marco
