Hi all, I'm having a problem which I hope someone can help with.
I have recently started playing my way through this great game which I purchased from Play.com and I noticed there was an update v1.1 available for it. I downloaded the update from the shipsim.com website.
Installing the patch:
After asking me to choose a language, I get the following error message: "Unable to locate a valid Ship Simulator Extremes installation". I'm a bit confused as to what might be causing this as I installed the game into the default installation directories so it should find it!
Also, I can't find any information as to what this new patch is supposed to fix?
My game runs via Steam. I'm not really sure but I get the impression there's a version that doesn't? Don't know if this has any bearing on things.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi!
I have the same problem!

Hi guys, if you have the download version you probably already have the patch..
When you go into the game, and click on options, does it read Build 1037, Version 1.1.0 ?
If so, you're ok.. :)

Hey guys,
Steam users do not have to seperately download and install the patch. In fact, as indicated, it won't even work.
It's an automated process within steam, for these players! So you should indeed be good to go as is, ScubaChris!
And welcome to the forum, btw!
Regards,
Fred

Will the patches be released on Steam at the same time?

You mean the future ones? then probably yes.
But as you know, Steam runs on their own time schedule, so no guarantees. ;)
