Hi Captain Senfei,

this discussion has been moved to the Technical Support section, at this URL :

http://80.95.161.114/shipsim/forum/index.php/topic,20614.msg279700.html#msg279700

If you need access to this section, you'll have to register your Extremes licence number into your forum profile.

Hi,

I get the same error message when installing Ship Simulator 2008 Collector's Edition on a Vista machine. I registered this license, but do not have access to the link listed below.

Is there another link that only requires the Collector's Edition license? I would really appreciate any suggestions - my kid is counting on me to get this working.

Thanks,
Rick

I had a similar problem. You have to install Dx 9.0c even though Windows 7 or Vista will have Dx10/11 installed, not all the files from 9.0c are installed. That cured the problem for me.
