Yeah they just turned. That's not the problem. But tnx for the suggestion
-
i was asking about the fans because if they didnt then it would be a power supply problem. does it beep at all on the startup?
-

Yeah it beeps aswell. It's not the power supply. And me computer is 1 year old.
-
how many times does it beep?

how many times does it beep?
Now not more... But I hear the other start up sounds
-
Hi Snakebyte,
Are you able to load windows at all and login?
-
Hi Snakebyte,

No the only thing I see is a black screen. With a AOC screen: No Signal...(for just a few sec. after that it's totally black
-
Very odd. This could probably be a hardware issue. Either something has come loose in your computer or there is a problem with your power supply.
Does the PC power up and simply do nothing else. So everything is whizzing away as normal but nothing apears on-screen?
-
while it is in the BIOS screen how many times does the computer beep(if at all)
-

I don't think he is able to even see the bios POSTing :)

Exactly. But I don't hear the beeps after the wizzing anymore

I don't see the Bios screen
-
i believe that is a problem if you dont see that BIOS screen. isnt it? from what i know that is an important part of a computers startup. i believe

Hi Snakebyte,
This would certainly indicate a hardware failure of some description. It could be a blown processor, loose memory or some other hardware failure or loose cable.
If you have confident enough to open your computer case and you know where most things should be then do so at your own risk.
Regards,
Adam
-
i think it would have something to do with the motherboard or the possessors. because at default you should get into the BIOS right away.
-
Hi A Nation,
Didn't I already say something along those lines? ;D

Me case is open and I don't see something unussual. Nothing black
-
not about the motherboard or processor. i said about the GPU. haha

He is just red... I removed him and check both sides. Nothing unussual
-
Hi A Nation,
If you check my post above it mentions about a processor hehe :)
Snakebyte - The components in your computer may not necessarily be black as such, but the processor might be blown and you can't see it while the heatsink is attached.
I would recommend taking your computer to your local repair shop to get it fixed. They will be able to help you out with your issue and tell you exactly what is wrong.

Adam

ohhhh. :P i was just agreeing with you. i just didnt put that.

Hi Thomas,
I realise it's a bit disheartening to hear something like that and I wish you the best of luck.
Please do let us know how you get along and you're very welcome :)

Modern computers shut down if they see temperatures rising too high, or/and some cooling fan has stopped working.
You may have to disconnect power cord for a while (minute or two) and then try again to get the situation resetting, if overheating is the issue this could take 10-15 minutes to cool down.
-
that may be true finn but sometimes there are glitches with the monitors and the computer never does shut down. this is why they came out with temperature displays for the cases so you can watch the temperature live.
-

Sounds like the screen dosen't get any signal,
Possibly it's the Graphicscard, or the PCI-E bus. (I've blowed one of those myself)
Checked all wires?
Btw:
Thats the Exakt same thing that hapened to me!
(game froze and then no signal when restart)
My problem was that I've fired up the PCI-E bus.
Try see if you got a integrated GC on the motherboard, if you do, try starting with that, just to see if thats the case.
-
thats what i thought too but he said that there wasnt any beeping or a BIOS screen. if it was the card there would be beeping and it would never get off the BIOS screen.
-

I will. I just called me uncle where I bought me desktop(he is a prof..) And what I was telling(and trying to start with Windows 7 cd) it's hardware problem. I hope it's not the cause of SSE. Because than Vstep have more things to take care off....
Soon as I know more I will post.
-
No, I didn't have any beeping eather!
Still it was the PCI-E bus
-

It could be it. But i'm not going to do anything me self. I doesn't want to create it worser than this...
-
thats weird. :-\ usually BIOS sees that as a problem. haha. but then again every computer is different.
-
I understand,
Just a friend tip! :)
God lucky with the comp! :D
-
Hi Snakebyte,
SSE would not have caused a hardware failure. Anything that fails is never due to software of any kind :)
-

Well if there was something wrong with the graphics card you would not be able to see the bios to start with! ;D

That would be nice of me. Blow me geforce 9500gt in 1 year....
-
but it will still beep. and it wont stop till u turn it off. you are right though about not being able to see it. :P
-
Well lets hope your issue isn't too much of an expensive one eh? :)
-

I blow a videocard before. But it worked and than suddenly stopped. So I don't think it's me videocard..

i have a 9800 GT laying around my house because i just got a new card if something is wrong with yours and u happen to need a new graphics card.
-
it could just be the hard drive like u stated b4. maybe something crashed windows. lets face it windows isnt the most stable system
-

No... But I have very sweet parents. ;D No i really hope it wouldn't be to much money
-
Your A Nation,
The issue Snakebyte is reporting is not a hard drive failure. Please stop posting comments which are not true.
The symptoms he/she are reporting suggests a processor, motherboard, power supply or memory issue.
Thanks,
Adam

-
Ahh righto. Sorry 'Sir' ;D
No problem Sir(I gues...)
-
i thought that he said somewhere about windows not loading or something like that. it could have been another place that i saw that and thought that it was here. sorry. :-X
-
No worries, I just don't want people getting confused about things which aren't really true hehe :)
You're forgiven ;D
-
i just found it weird that the BIOS wasnt coming up or beeping to say a memory problem. although that could point towards a motherboard failure...
-
I haven't the luck at the me side. SSE arrived today and me computer crashed.. But I stay positive. At least I got me netbook.
-

It could be possible anything... I hope it are just a few wires..
-
thats what i hope too. because its to new to to have something like a motherboard or other hardware fail...
-

It could be a production fault. It's indeed strange.. I will see what me computer hides for me ???
-
that could be. and i mean there is always the warranty if something that fail. they always come in handy. ;D
-

I have me computer 14 months.. How long is the warranty 12 months.. Than I got a slight problem I guess. But than they made it good. Fail after 14 months. :-\

that depends on the manufacture too. most manufactures (NVIDIA or ASUS) offer longer warranties then the actual computer company (Dell or HP for example).

It's not a company computer. Me uncle made it for me. So i have only the warranty of the manufacture
-
then you might be in luck if a part did fail. a lot of companies give out 2 year warranties.
-
That would be great. But how many times can I install SSE with the same key? ???
-
that is something that Cap. Spencer is going to have to tell u. haha
actually if you never have to replace your hard drive or need to reload windows there will be no need to reinstall anything.
-
Hi Snakebyte,
You should be able to install the game on a single computer as many times as you like :)
-
Hello,
Just brought me computer to me uncle.
He though me GPU or me motherboard is death... He will investigate it tomorrow so I will hear tomorrow what's wrong. And the biggest chance is the GPU.
So probally the Nvidia 9500gt isn't able to play SSE.
As soon as I know more I will give you the answer. Maybe that prefends more problems.

BTW, Does someone knows a good new nvidia GPU for a reasonable price. Which should be able to handle SSE. I'm already looking incase I need a new GPU....
-
Yeah. Was thinking something like that already.

Your video is out. Test your monitor with another computer and/or test your computer with another monitor. My best guess is your graphics card.

I did and there's nothing wrong with me monitor. So that's not the problem. It's absolutly hardware
-
I heard what the problem was. Me motherboard crashed..... :'( :'(
Probally a manufactor fault. But no warranty anymore. So 110 euros for a new motherboard.... Great.
Good news it's not the Nvidia 9500gt. :2thumbs:
I got me computer 6.30 back.
For people who wanna know what mainboard I had: P6NGM-L755/800 MSI
I don't know what it all means... But it's not good ;D
