Title: Will Steam version be able to install the update packs?

I hope that like ship sim 08 there will be many little updates with new ships and mission, so given that the v1.1 available on this website doesn't work with steam versions what will happen to the new releases of ships etc?

I managed to download single missions using the Steam version without any problems.
I think this version does not differ in any way from the boxed one after activation.

update packs cannot play.....loading error,no sky,weather,etc.........

any more info on the matter, my friend is still experiencing the menu problem, steam just updated my game with 168mb download, any ideas what it was?
