Title: Crash in mission Fight against extinction
Post by: Slowboat on August 29, 2010, 10:15:15
Hi,

Very nice graphics with SSE

But I have an issue. SSE crashes in the Fight against extinction mission. I've attached the logged crash dmp file.

I hope that your'e able to correct this issue  :)

I don't know the answer of your question, but I wonder what fps you get on highest settings with that rig?! Want to know! :)

I made a quick test with CPU at default clock speed (2.9GHz and Turbo enabled) and OC:ed to 4.1GHz.

nVIDIA settings: AF = 16, AA = 8.

Ship: Orient Star
Location: New York, heading towards Manhattan with Statue of Liberty on port side.
All graphics settings maxed out. Two cloud layers.

I measured fps with FRAPS and got this result in Orbit camera mode:

This is odd  ??? The sim feels smooth and responsive at either clock speed. I changed the grahics settings to Medium and gained 3fps.

But as long as the sim is smooth I don't bother with the fps. I only want the mission to work OK.  ;D

So without fraps around 30-40 fps on highest?

How would I know? Is there a way to measure fps within SSE?
