Hi guys, I am not very knowledgeable about all this stuff but have tried to download SSE from Shipsim.com a few times now. Download speed starts pretty high then drops off rapidly to less than 20kB/s.
is this due to the large amount of people downloading at the same time? Any help appreciated ???

I can't swear to it but I would say no. I was on when the game was initially released. I was getting right at the max that my modem could handle. There were a lot of people doing the exact same thing and it was flying. Maybe there is just a LOT more internet traffic now that it is the weekend.
I'm in northern California in the USA and got great rates at the time...
