Hi guys,
On my first trip out on SSE I rammed the Sigita into a pier in Sydney and the boat appeared to list. I was wondering, is listing simulated in SSE?
Thank you!

no

sad, but you are not a registered SSE user and I don't think I can trust you.....

Yes it is!
If you don't know, 2000, why post? ;)

@Mad_Fred:
Yes, ships may list after being damaged.
That happens when one or two compartments below the waterline gets flooded after being damaged. If the car deck of a ferry gets flooded through the breach in the hull by the listing, the vessel will capsize due to the free surface effect. Capsizing can be avoided by some extra barriers (flood control doors) at the cardeck, or by side sponsons along the both sides of the hull.
There is a ship which can withstand water in her well dock, it is the Dutch Landing Platform Dock Hr.Ms. Rotterdam L800 of the Dutch Royal Navy, because the vessel has thick built in sponsons in her hull.

Yes, I understand the principle behind it! ;D
But thanks, I appreciate that!! :2thumbs:
